The Blankenship Sales Brochure Cover Page

Breeders of the World’s Best All-Purpose Dog and Man’s Best Friend

A.L.B. notes: I found it interesting that in this prominent title line of their sales brochure, the Blankenships describe their dogs as the world's best all purpose dog without specifically mentioning farm dogs or farm work. It seems pretty clear that they were positioning there dogs for a broader market than just farm homes.

English Shepherds

Natural Heelers

A.L.B. notes: Natural Heelers is mentioned twice on the cover. Clearly an important marketing phrase.

Duke of Winsor

A.L.B. notes: Further research required on Duke of Winsor's pedigree and paternal haplotype / haplogroup

Exclusive Bloodline of Our Superior Foundation Breeding Stock

A.L.B. notes: This feels like a reference to the local black and tan farm dogs mentioned in The Blankenships Best Friend and English Shepherds In the News [1]Black and Tan Shepherd Farm Dogs In Use Prior to 1900, Farm Shepherds Illustrated

Century Strain Natural Heelers

A.L.B. notes: I didn't realize the Blankenships called their own bloodline the Century Strain. I had previously seen them refer to The Gold Nugget Strain and to the King of the Cattle Dogs.
