The 2021 first quarter newsletter from the Old-fashioned Black and Tan English Shepherd Association was mailed earlier this week. It was just 2 pages, in a simple format. The 2nd quarter’s issues will be 6 pages, full color. Here’s an sneak-peak, early draft of the cover page for the 2nd quarter issue, due out in April.
You may wonder, why create a print-based newsletter? Three reasons, really. First, the Old-fashioned Black and Tan English Shepherd is under-represented by any ES organization in existence today. Second, there are a lot of “old school” black and tan folks who aren’t online. And third, I don’t want to create content for Facebook anymore.
Membership in OBTESA is $20 per year. Your membership fee goes towards my costs, such as postage and website hosting. Association members receive a quarterly printed newsletter by postal mail. The newsletter includes history, research, marketing materials, and litter listing services. Sometimes free stuff like stickers. And of course, dog stories!
